Without the correct hygiene, infections can be easily transmitted and at times even life threatening. At Prime, we apply the highest level of hygiene consisting of sterilisation which aims to completely destroy harmful bacteria on an object or surface.
Our salon sterilisation procedure ensures we adhere to the Council’s requirements.
Correct sterilisation we implement:
- Gloves are worn to minimise cross contamination.
- To kill all pathogens, metal tools are cleaned with soap, hot water, and the right chemical such as hospital grade Barbacide
- The tools are then stored in closed containers to keep them germ free.
To keep our customers safe, we use one-use only files and buffers as well as wiping implements with alcohol before using on customers.
Instruments like cuticle pushers, nail clippers, and cuticle nippers anything that is used on more than one client, are cleaned and sterilised between uses.
Before starting on a new customer, we spray disinfectant on the table and chairs and wash our hands.
Every night, the salon's working area and furniture, like chairs, tables, etc, are cleaned thoroughly so that they are ready for the next day.
